About Mrs. Mears

I was a stay at home mom up until August 2022 when I joined WES as a Clinic Assistant. I have 8 years of experience in the medical field. I graduated from the Pruden Center Nurse Aide program when I was in high school, I am a Windsor High School alumni. I have work in a hospital on the Cardiac Floor and nursing homes in the long term living up until I had my first daughter. I currently live in Franklin, VA with my husband Alex and our 2 girls Peyton and Ava. When I’m not spending time with my girls and Alex I like doing projects on my cricket and shopping.

MEDICATION
All medication must be brought in to school by an ADULT per IWCS policy. The medication will be signed into the clinic and logged into the computer with an adult after all documentation is reviewed.
  • Medication needs to be unopened and in the proper box labeled from the pharmacy.
  • Spacers are strongly recommended for all elementary age students.
  • If your student needs applesauce or anything to help them swallow the pills, you must provide that and have it labeled with the students name on it. It will be kept in the clinic.
  • Please let us know how you would like to be reminded when your students medication is low (Email, phone call, letter). We will try our best to notify you when the medication is low but it is your responsibility to mark the calendar to bring in more medication.
  • We do not stock medication in the clinic like Tylenol, cough syrup, cough drops, itch creams, etc. If you wish for us to apply them to your student, you must provide a medication form signed by the parent along with the medication.
CLOTHING
Please provide at least 2 changes of clothes in your students bag to be kept in the classroom. If you have spoken with the clinic and your child has accommodations in place to keep clothing in the clinic, please label all clothing articles and package them in a ziplock bag. Please provide wet wipes if your student needs them. We will do our best to verbally instruct the student to change and clean themselves independently prior to calling you. If a child has diarrhea and no medical documentation, a parent will be notified to pick the student up per IWCS policy. All soiled clothes will be sent home in a bag with the student.
