There are two opportunities for the public to visit and say “Goodbye” to the school where they, or their children, once walked the halls. If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry. IWCS is creating a video to document the current building.

In addition to teachers, Isle of Wight County Schools is seeking other qualified IWCS staff to support Summer School and ESY, including: Bus Drivers, Instructional Assistants, Food Service workers and a Nurse. If you are interested, please see the attached document for details.

Congratulations to all Honor Roll students on your outstanding academic performance for the 2nd quarter! Honor Roll Lists have been sent to the local papers and are posted on the IWCS website.

The School Board approved the 2023--2024 calendar at their March 9, 2023 School Board Meeting.

A note from a parent/guardian explaining the reason for a child's absence from school is required in order for an absence to be marked as excused (verified). To ensure that we have proper documentation to avoid attendance plans and/or truancy, please use this form to submit notes to verify student absences.

In conjunction with the Isle of Wight County Schools new Strategic Plan, the division is launching a recognition program that is open to any member of the Windsor Elementary School community. Staff, teachers, students, volunteers, parents, and community members can all be nominated for a monthly WES ISLE award.

The award focuses on the four broad areas of the Strategic Plan: Inspire, Succeed, Lead, Empower. The first letter of each word spells ISLE. When read together, the sound you hear is “I’ll Inspire” or “I’ll Succeed”, giving everyone ownership of the key actions throughout the plan.

Across WES, people are demonstrating acts of inspiration, success, leadership, and empowerment. The ISLE award welcomes nominations that demonstrate how someone in the WES community has embodied one of these areas.

From October through June, four nominees will be selected for recognition--one in each category-- and will be highlighted on our social media pages, website, and newsletters for our school and for IWCS.
